Big Wave Racing is a Professional Porsche racing company launched in 2016. It is backed by 10 years of track experience and a winning record. Driver, Dave Elsner has won two club class championships and multiple individual events racing with PCA and POC.
Dave was originally trained in a Formula Ford at the Jim Russell Race school at Infineon in 2005. Dave took the lessons learned and his passion for driving to the track ever since. He has participated in over 100 track events with multiple wins and championships. In the last 3 years, Dave has been preparing himself for professional driving by joining PCA and POC events throughout So Cal. Durning that time, he moved through the ranks to the top class quickly while improving his skills. In 2014 Dave won the PCA and Hoosier tire Class championship. He repeated that in 2015. At the same time, he was winning with POC and earned a spot in the POC Cup Race School. Dave graduated in Nov 15 and had his first professional race weekend at Willow Springs in January where he qualified 3rd out of 35 and finished his 3 races 3rd, 4th and 2nd in his class.
Dave plans to campaign his GT3 Cup car with Porsche Club of America and Porsche Owners Club for the 2017 Cup Racing Season. Dave also plans to run the full season in Pirelli GT3 Cup Series
